He'd been left for dead there in the water. Dragged down into the nightmare that had haunted him since he was a child. But he wasn't human anymore. Not entirely. How had he survived? He won't say. But now he's trapped. Half way between human and Kanima. He's looking for answers, and a little payback.
Post-season 2 AU. By default, he was dragged out by Peter Hale, and kept hidden. Until he managed to escape. But I'm more than happy to adjust the details of how he survived to suit any plot.
